Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions about our services.

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol.

Of course, you can keep your current phone number by completing a transfer form that we will provide. The portability process typically takes between 10 to 30 days, depending on your previous provider.

To assess if your network is ready for VoIP and to determine the necessary bandwidth, conduct a VoIP network assessment. This evaluation measures metrics like jitter, packet loss, and MOS scores, along with upload/download capacity, SIP ALG detection, and the maximum number of concurrent VoIP calls your internet can handle. Typically, VoIP calls need 80-100 kbps of bandwidth per concurrent call, although this can vary depending on the audio codec used, the desired audio quality, and other network traffic.

Connect3 provides a "Bring-Your-Own-Device" service, enabling the use of any standard SIP phone. Unlike some VoIP providers, we don't limit phones with proprietary software. Furthermore, Connect3 offers resources for learning about VoIP phone reviews, promotions, and purchasing new phones.

CONNECT3 provides phone numbers, both local/international and toll-free, that support unlimited simultaneous calls.

We offer phone numbers for Puerto Rico, the United States, and international locations, including both Toll-Free and Vanity options.
